So, here's the story. My uncle Randy has been with Mary Jo for over 20 years. She's wanted to get married for many of those years. Well, as my mom would say, life plays funny tricks on you. Uncle Randy was diagnosed with cancer and they decided this was the perfect time to finally tie the knot. I think many of us go through life expecting to have a lot more time to do the things we want or should do, and occasionally we all need a slap in the face to wake us up. Sometimes that slap stings a little, and sometimes it feels like a train slammed into you. Well, this was the train for our family. Here's what I've taken from that - live every minute, give your time to those you love, truly connect with people...and, in the words of John Mayer:
Even if you're hands are shakin'
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closin'
Do it with a heart wide open...
Say what you need to say
